The fine print
Refund policy
The kickoff deposit is non-refundable. This page explains what that covers, and what happens if we are the reason the work does not go ahead.
Last updated 28 July 2026
The deposit
The kickoff deposit reserves your delivery window and pays for the scoping work that begins immediately: reviewing the workflow with your team, confirming the systems involved, and agreeing the target for the guarantee.
Because that work starts straight away and the window is held for you, the deposit is non-refundable if you decide not to proceed.
If we do not deliver
Non-refundable means you changed your mind. It does not mean we keep your money for nothing.
If we are unable to deliver the agreed workflow, or we cancel the engagement, we will refund the deposit less any scoping work already completed and shared with you. If we have not yet started, the refund is the full amount.
If the workflow underperforms
If the workflow is delivered but does not meet the agreed target, the remedy is our continued work rather than a refund. That is set out in the outcome guarantee.
Payments after the deposit
Amounts invoiced after the deposit cover work already performed and are payable under the agreed terms. They are not refundable once the corresponding work has been delivered.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies where a service is not supplied with due care and skill or is not fit for the purpose we agreed.
How to ask
Email us and we will deal with it directly. We would rather resolve a problem than argue about a deposit.
